The Landen Taggart Scholarship for Dreamers

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars
to change the world”
Honoring Landen's Legacy
On August 3, 2022, Landen Taggart was tragically killed in a car accident. Our family was devastated and heartbroken. In the midst of our grief, we experienced an incredible outpouring of love and support from our community—something we will always be grateful for.
As we searched for a way to honor Landen’s life and keep his memory alive, we felt called to give back to the community that supported us so deeply. From that desire, we created a nonprofit organization and established
The Landen Taggart Scholarship for Dreamers: Empowering Future Innovators.
Each year, this scholarship is awarded to graduating students from Dowagiac who are pursuing their dreams—whether through a traditional college education or by attending trade school. We believe every path to a meaningful career deserves encouragement and support.
Through this scholarship, we hope to celebrate Landen’s spirit while helping young people in our community chase their goals, build their futures, and continue dreaming big.

OUR MISSION
The Landen Taggart Scholarship for Dreamers
was created to support graduating students from Dowagiac as they take the next step toward their future. Through financial assistance for college and trade school programs, the scholarship helps remove barriers to education and encourages students to pursue their goals with confidence. By investing in local students, we aim to build a stronger community and inspire the next generation of dreamers and leaders.
